Meeting Minutes

General Member Meeting was held Thursday, September 3rd 2015 @ 3:00p in The Family Center located in Robert Frost Elementary School in West Valley City, UT 84119.

Those members in attendance were: Jennifer V., Amy Ekins, Shannon T.,Tiffany Tanner, Bronwyn Thorup, Annie Hennessy, Andrea Hatch, Gina Sconiers, Andy Carbaugh, Beckie Hennessy, Emily L.

Those non-members in attendance were: none

The meeting was called to order @ 3:00p by Beckie Hennessy, president.

A reverence and pledge was given by Emily Lawrence, vice president.

The agenda was presented by the Board of Directors.

This is our first meeting therefore no meeting minutes were presented or needing to be approved.

Shannon Turcsanski, Treasurer, presented financial matters as follows: PTA Budget for 2015-2016, voted on and approved.

Announcements made as follows: Uplift Families Parenting Conference, Sept. 19 from 5:30-9:30 @ Thanksgiving Point. register online @ www.upliftfamilies.org.

New business discussed as follows: Vacant Board Positions in 2016, Secretary and Treasurer. Chairs/co-chairs: SEP dinners(chair), Elf Shelf(co-chair), White Ribbon week(co-chair), Teacher Appreciation(co-chair). Need to vote on By-Laws next month.  They are posted in the PTA display next to the office and also in the PTA box in the office for review. Eagle Store opens Oct. 9th. We will be accepting Box Tops again.

The calendar was discussed as follows:  Walk-a-thon on Sept.24. Volunteers needed. 9/28-9/29 SEP dinners. volunteers needed.  Book Fair is the week of 09/28. Volunteers needed for both Monday and Tuesday nights.  We do have a mom who has offered to babysit either night if needed.

Assignments were made as follows:  Aaron T. will be the Eagle Eyes Chair.  Amy E. will be the SEP Dinners Chair.  Corrina M. will pick up rolls.  Soup will be provided by Gina S., Tiffany T., Andrea H. and Heidi S.

We are still in need of Book Fair volunteers.  Alicia Farmer and Emily Lawrence are available Monday night.  Tiffany or Nick Tanner are available Tuesday night.  One more volunteer for Monday night and 2 more for Tuesday would be great.  Bronny T. has offered to babysit if needed either day.

The meeting was adjourned @ 3:45 pm.  The next meeting will be held on Thursday, October 8th @ 3p in the Family Center.
